Where did January go?

Since I posted about Christmas/New Year's Eve in mid-January I thought I had gotten some of January covered. Nope. Lots to cover. Here goes the catch up post, part 1...

New Years Day we took the kids down to the church parking lot to let them ride around on their bikes. We invited some friends, too.

Annie had been on her balance bike for a week, since she got it at Christmas, and was ready to take the training wheels off her regular bike. First try, she was a pro.

It snowed pretty good up on the mountain, so we decided to go try and play in the snow once the road opened. Unfortunately when we got to the base of the mountain we found out you had to have chains or 4-wheel drive, so we couldn't go to the snow. The kids were disappointed, so we stopped at a park close by to play. It had an awesome playground that cheered the kids up right away.
Rachel loved this climbing wall thing.

Even Grandma got in on the fun on this super tall slide.

Rachel also performed in her 2nd grade concert. She was blocked most of the time by a tall kid in front of her, but they did a good job and she had fun.

More on what we did in January to come...
