Besides wrapping up stuff for Rachel and Annie, there was plenty of other stuff going on to keep us busy. When I took Rachel and Annie shopping for promotion dresses, they found these that they both liked, not for promotion, just for regular Sunday use. Now they can be twinners.
Annie and Ryan had a band concert. Mrs. Gerbi ended up taking a leave of absence the last month and a half of school because her husband was diagnosed with cancer, then passed away, so we thought they wouldn't get a chance to even have a band concert, but the choir teacher in Rita Ranch stepped in to lead the band. I ended up going along on the field trip during the day to run through things.
The concert itself went pretty well, at least for band. The kids got a picture with Mrs. Port afterwards:
Jacob's work had a family picnic at a new satellite dish they are sharing with the U of A at the tech park near our house. They got to climb up and explore the inner workings of how it moves and everything.
I went straight from the picnic to the church prom that our stake was hosting. The committee had done it up super fancy.
Jacob came and visited me while I was chaperoning and we got a picture at the photo booth.
Mother's day was full of love and sweets.
Savannah graduated from law school. We're so glad she decided to do that so they could live in Tucson for 3 years, giving our kids a chance to grow really close and saving us from insanity during COVID isolation. I made her a shirt to commemorate her accomplishment.
At the ceremony my mom brought giant Savannah heads to hold up to show our support. Afterwards when all the graduates were filing out it was dark in the hall and we used our cell phone lights to light up the faces, so everyone could see them. Savannah said it was so embarrassing. Mission accomplished.
Her kids showing their support:
Of course afterwards Eegee's seemed like the appropriate way to celebrate.

A few days later there was a lunar eclipse that was happening early enough in the evening that the kids didn't even have to miss sleep, so we went to the Julian Wash trail and set up Todd's telescope and watched the eclipse.
We got a few pictures of the eclipse through the telescope.
As school was wrapping up we snagged a few pictures with teachers. I forgot to get one of Ryan with Ms. Cady, but I got Megan with Mrs. Barela and her advanced math teacher, Ms. Riopel.
The miracle shot. Ryan made the basket, but the ball stopped in the net and just hung there until Jacob got it out.
