School is back in session!
Rachel is in 4th grade, Annie is in 1st grade, and Ryan is in morning kindergarten.
Megan was a little bummed to be left out of going to school on that first day. But she got over it, mostly.
Every morning when the kids get on the bus she is sad to be left behind, though.
Ryan is super excited to be in kindergarten.
And Megan is super excited to start preschool, but waiting the extra week after the other kids started before her school started was a little rough.
Since she decided she wants to be called Lee instead of Megan I thought she might tell Mrs. Heather to not call her Megan, so I warned her ahead of time. Apparently she must have asked something along the lines of "Do you mind if I call you Megan?" because the first thing Megan said after I picked her up from her first day of preschool was, "I don't mind if Mrs. Heather calls me Megan." She has repeated this about 3-4 times at random times of the day when she is yelling at us "Don't call me Megan!" She is a silly girl.
When I picked her up that first day she almost didn't let me buckle her in because she wanted to ride home in Ricky's car, like Ryan had all last year. She was so excited the next time she had school when she got to ride home in his car. So far she's loving preschool. (But for some reason still doesn't like nursery and tells us every single Sunday-I think she wants to go into primary with the big kids?)
