Band Camp

Rachel's last band camp and Annie's first band camp! It was hot, sweaty, and sunny. They worked hard outside on marching all morning, then inside on music all afternoon. As band booster president this year, I spent a good part of the week at school helping (also because I'm the PTO president and it was registration week), so Ryan and Megan had a lot of unsupervised time at home. I did make sure to head home mid day every day to have lunch with them and take Megan to synchro. Grandma and Grandpa happened to be in Seattle that week, and we really missed them and their help with rides that week.

At the end of the week there was the end of band camp performance when all the kids got decked out in their uniforms and showed off all the music they had mastered this week.

Rachel got the opening solo of the show and got to show that off! It's going to be a fun season to see her shine!
The following week, band boosters provided lunch for the teachers their last day before school started. It sure is good to have lots of people willing to help out. Last year it was just me and Kiki that were available to help that day, so having so many people was wonderful.
