End of Annie's 8th grade

The last week of school was a super busy week for Annie. She had auditions for her summer drama camp and mini band camp to kick off her Marching Band career. She was excited to jump in to the fun.

Annie was also recognized at the Principal's breakfast, but for earning straight As for ALL of middle school! Way to go, kiddo!
I'm grateful Annie had such good friends to make middle school a great experience for her.
Grandma and Mom with the two middle school scholars.
Smarty pants buddies. Annie, Drew, Laura, Courtney, Coleby, and Lucy.
Then it was time for 8th grade promotion. At the ceremony Annie was surprised to be one of 2 kids in her team to receive a special recognition, receiving the Outstanding Cougar Award. The principal said, in describing who receives this award, "They are the ones you hear encouraging others, not putting them down. They volunteer, they work hard, they display kindness, respect, and consideration. They do not try to show other students how great they are, yet their greatness can't be hidden." This really does encapsulate all Annie is. She is such a great kid.

She is so excited to move on to Cienega, especially marching band and drama there, and she will keep on shining there.
