The first week was the only week of the summer where we didn't have camps and swim stuff filling our time and dictating our schedule. Rachel jumped right in to training with her job at Kidco, but the rest of us found some time to have some fun.
Ryan taught our Come Follow Me lesson after he had taught in Young Mens that day. He kind of lost his head.
One of Megan's goals for the summer was to finish crocheting her gargoyle and crochet two other Impkins. She pushed through lots of frustrations and achieved her goal and made some really cute creatures.Dad's level of yarn skillz:
Grandma and Grandpa came over for a Memorial Day BBQ and brought water balloons, and regular balloons to make in to water balloons, which Ryan and Megan had lots of fun with.
Another day that week we invited some friends along and went to Patagonia Lake. Megan brought Cora, Ryan brought Carter, and Annie thought she'd have friends there since the Allens and Reimanns were meeting us there, but the girls her age stayed home for other commitments that day, so Annie and I went out on the paddle boards together a few times.
It was a fun day and beautiful weather to be at the lake. The paddle boards were lots of fun, and the next day we all discovered which muscles we don't often use in every day life, that are important for paddle boarding.
