We woke up later than most of the other Campbells because they went and ran in the Freedom Run 5K that started at 7am. So when we were waking up they were starting their race. We kept Sophie with us, and they took Bevy in a stroller on the 5K and Ashley (who is pregnant) went with Ylena in the Fun Run.
Once we were ready we headed over to the parade route to meet up with the rest of the clan.
The kiddos had a hard time waiting for the parade to start. Then they didn't even throw candy, so Rachel was a bit disappointed, since that was her whole reason for going to the parade. We watched for a while, then left early when we started to get too hot. We're parade wimps.
The rest of the family stayed for the whole thing.
My cousin, Carrie, who is closest to me in age, didn't get to be up in Idaho while we were there, so she came over to talk for a little while and catch up. We also looked at our pictures from Idaho. It was fun to get to chat for a bit.
Lena brought some dress ups along with her and Rachel was so happy she was willing to share.
We had one last picnic outside (Annie loves picnics, so she was in heaven eating outside all week).
Rachel and Lena were matchy-matchy.
Since no one at the parade had thrown candy, Grandma and Grandpa picked up some taffy and threw it from the deck from the kids.
We attempted to get all the grandkids together in their red shirts.
By the end they were a little less than happy. :)
But cheered up quickly.
