Vacation-Wednesday

Wednesday morning Jacob and I snuck off to the Mt. Timpanogas Temple, since the Provo temple is closed for cleaning. It is much easier to be gone for 2 hours to the temple than 7 hours. While we were gone Grandma taught the kids how to play hopscotch.

I got to hang with Bevy for a few minutes while mom did some laundry and dad got the chicken on the grill. She found this headband on the ground and wanted to look pretty. She's a cutie.
The rest of the afternoon was mostly a repeat of Monday. Lots of fun and lots of water.

Notice Ryan's big stick that he loved.
Trying to warm the shivering Beverly up.
But she just wanted to get back in the water.

Sophie and Ryan's favorite place is on those stairs. They brought out the baby gate, which worked okay for Ryan, but Sophie said "Nice try! I can scale that!" And we looked over to see her making her way over the top of it so she could climb the stairs again.

 Nice one, Lena. :)
 Ready for dinner.

Sophie was happy to have everyone go off to eat so she could have the boat all to herself.
Corn in one hand, popsicle in the other.
 They must be related. :)
 Ryan on those fun stairs.

After dinner they whipped out the croquet set. Ryan tried to help with the setup.

After all the excitement we went inside to get ready for bed. I put the kids in their clothes for the next day since we would be heading to the 4th of July Parade relatively early and I didn't want to have to get them dressed. Ryan immediately found Boots the cat, who actually seemed to tolerate him occasionally this visit--much more than previous visits.
Annie, however refused to put on anything but her pajamas. She is at a very picky stage in her clothing choices. If it's not hers, she doesn't want to wear it. Including new clothes. If she doesn't recognize it from wearing it before it's pretty much a guaranteed struggle to get it on her. So we postponed her new 4th of July shirt fight for the morning. And a fight it was. But she wore it in the end.
